Streetsville · Mississauga
Some evenings deserve a better room.
A luxury café and lounge above Queen Street South. Rose lattes, ceremonial matcha, and a red-velvet room that stays open until one.
A room that keeps its own hours.
There is a narrow door on Queen Street South, and a staircase behind it. At the top, the noise of the village stops. Deep red velvet runs the length of the room. Walnut tables catch the light from brass sconces, and every table is set with a single rose under glass.
Knight & Rose is a café by daylight — students at the window banquettes, laptops open, the espresso machine working steadily through the afternoon. By eight it becomes something else. The lights drop, the music deepens, and the corner booths belong to couples. We open at noon and we close at one. Nobody is asked to leave.
Pulled to order.
Never sooner.
Every cup at Knight & Rose is built at the bar, in front of you. Espresso is pulled to order and never held; milk is steamed by hand for each drink rather than in batches.
The Rose Silk Latte — rose, espresso and steamed milk, finished with dried petals — took a year of adjusting before it went on the menu. The Spanish Latte is what most people order second.

The signature

Spanish Latte
Sweet, spiced

Mocha Emerald
Pistachio, cocoa
Whisked, layered,
never rushed.
Ceremonial-grade matcha, stone-ground and whisked to order — never shaken from a jug mixed that morning. Served hot as a latte, or built cold in layers over strawberry or mango purée so the colours hold their line down the glass.
It is the most photographed drink in the room, and the one people cross Mississauga for.

Royal Karak

Kashmiri Velvet

Masala Heritage
Kashmiri chai,
the way it should be.
Five chai on the board, each brewed rather than poured from a flask. The Blush Kashmiri Velvet is the one people come to Streetsville for — pink, slow-cooked, finished with rose.
Royal Karak and Karak Cardamom for strength. Masala Heritage for spice. All five served hot or over ice, alongside a loose-leaf tea bar of eleven.
Made in the morning.
Gone by midnight.
Crème brûlée cracked to order. A chocolate lava cake with a centre that still moves. Lotus tres leches soaked overnight and finished with Biscoff crumb.
The Raspberry Bloom and the Mango Royale are set in moulds by hand — the two desserts people photograph before they touch them.

At eight, the room changes.
The later half of the night belongs to the lounge. The lights drop, the music deepens, and the room fills with people who are not in a hurry. It is one of the few places in Mississauga still worth arriving at after ten — and from Friday to Sunday the last table goes well past midnight.
What guests say afterwards.
“I happened upon this place looking for a late night cafe and I was not disappointed. This vibe is upscale with super friendly staff and amazing coffee, chai and dessert.”
“I tried the Kashmiri Velvet chai and my partner had the Rose Silk Latte. Both had incredible taste and the presentation was beautiful!”
“I was blown away by how incredible their Kashmir chai tea was! It was a beautiful pink tea that was perfected with edible rose.”
